Just days ago wore my heart on my sleeve/
not the hardest thing ever but still took honesty/
cuz I humbled myself to this girl named lissette/
you know i let the feelings get advanced accelerated mistake number one made from the start/
idealized her but realized worth is earned not given free like natural water/
friendship is a beam of light but the breeze of time is in the end responsible not forcing your mind on them/
time does the understanding/
landing in a lake of smiles is always nice/
but if you take the time to fill up a lake/
it's more precise/
so I relayed to her how I feel/
put aside emotion sentiments cuz the deal/
was sweating like the sun/
and to be the only one original individual kat/
planned ahead/
want to cultivate a positive friend/
keyword accentuated/
cuz mistake number two made/
and hated myself in a small way/
tried to play the game/
you know you've gotta be up front be your own way/
face contorted in expression of pain/
distorted brain trying to sort the recorded aftermath/
once we spoke/
hope she won't act unnatural/
now the agenda's on the same page/
actual purpose of a smile/
of a filtered conversation is to dial/
the number to her heart right/
where the word friend resides/
alive in her mind/
not die like the rest/
convulsion of thoughts expressed in disarray/
cuz space has this gravity attracting me to l/
plain simple message told her 'I like you'/
so it's insane to tell tame a wild sensation/
to be friends is just the reflex of our relations/
I have this feeling she might not pursue/
the proposition to/
be for her the kat to be for her there when she needs me/
I hope she sees me/
as what I envision a seed for growth/
if not I'll learn to cope/
I've learned not to dive into the pool cuz minds must be scoped first/
then enticed to fill out the survey to show worth/
slow work into our friendship I fear/
but the ball's in her court now/
want to believe I'm wrong about what's thrown down here...

I know this girl named lissette with a smile sweet like the honey honey pouring down from partitions in the sky/
I pick words nice to describe her worth/
finesse like gems/
excavated from the mine of sugarcane/
a plain simple girl with just enough delight to tame/
my complicated world and life/
original colombian I'm glad we're friends/
the clouds are written over with what flows from my pen/
inspiration when I look into those eyes/
which blind me momentarily like light/
reflected off white glaciers too bright/
sometimes melt the flavor in my heart/
you know/
like caramel drums sounding in the night/
mess with time's flow/
it has to stop for a second pause drop for a second all activity just to see your true beauty reflections/
if I was wind I would carry your scents in to the senses of all humans/
cuz it's aromatic essence got me coming back to your sands constantly like a tourist/
pleasant curious sentiments coming up into this corazón mío con tu luna llena siento el calor frio/
gracias al señor por dejarme ser un amigo de esta princesa bella/
sea como sea
with how god's stroke of the paintbrush makes the situation a colorful creation of the friendliest kind/
amiga mia always carry that sonrisa alright?

Rhymes
Ten days existed between two milleniums/
twisted the minutes to match the schematics of your smile/
cameras flashing in my mind slash heart/
as i recalled the last glances god allowed of your delightful face/
I trace my memories over the paper with you as the filament/
spaces in my head with lissette as more than 50% composition/
let the sweetness of her candied soul mend the affliction of my critical world/
distance from her didn't affect the physics/
still listened to the Dominican land with your name on its lips/
or was it me rhythmically chanting/
couldn't really tell the difference/
the feeling is a special lift/
spiritual wind calms the seas/
ocean mist turns to colorful breeze/
makes your fossilized grin within my M-I-N-D turn to the brightest coral reef/
weaving the thread of imagination into a kodak moment depicting your creation/
an archetype for all beauty/
the horizon must have turned to ruby/
when the most high first made you/
dawn shaded for the first time from the blue tears raining down from his eyes/
cried out of happiness until they turned crimson/
fate listened to god's greatest wishes as he made white light like egyptian ivory to shine fortune on a nice columbian family/
today they must be proud to have you as a daughter sister plus so many other nouns/
and even if life was soundproofed I'd still hear your melody loud and clear/
proof that your sound is unique/
so I invite you here to where my heart sleeps/
and promize to hold you dear for eternity

I'm becoming a man/
slowly shapes are changing as I grow/
I'm becoming a man/
everything's a different color tone/
I'm becoming a man/
and as I transpire the wire fence I'm becoming a man/
no one would have ever thought/
I'm becoming a man...
Responsibilities becoming just more numerous/
while life used to be rough now I'm smoothing it/
like a lubricant/
making peace with my fellows/
meadows flow with water cuz now i show my mellow self/
pride is no longer a virtue/
instead I care about what's going on in the fam/
make it positive/
initiative taken to make it prosperous/
forget about the past let's acknowledge it/
but concentrate on what's ahead/
a future full of happiness/
I found a perfect definition to that adjective/
just the other day/
my flavor mixing with that of a Colombian magic gift/
sift through the faces in the crowd/
I picked the one smile that echoed loud up in my mind/
registered like a nine on the Richter scale/
stabilized myself/
then she became for me a Duracell/
raining down like hail/
so now I'm trying to tell y'all...
